What can I expect from my visit to a chiropractor?
Before your first visit you can expect to start with filling out some paperwork that will include a lot about your current complaint as well as your health history. When you arrive for your appointment with your paperwork finished, you will been checked in, then your payment and any additional necessary info will be collected. When called back, the doctor will then ask you questions about your current complaint(s), and answer any questions/concerns you may have about your condition, and about treatment. He or she will do a thorough examination, and possibly order x-rays or any other appropriate diagnostic studies or tests to accurately diagnose your condition and develop the best treatment plan specifically for you. Usually, you can expect to receive treatment on the first visit.
What can I expect from my visit to a chiropractor?
Your first appointment will be scheduled for approximately 1 hour. An initial exam is required by law and our practitioners will not administer treatment until it is completed.
Re-examinations are scheduled for 30 minutes and will take place at the end of your treatment plan to determine if you are ready to be released from care or if your condition requires further attention. The timeline of this will completely depend on your condition and this will be communicated to you by your doctor.
Routine visits are scheduled for 30 minutes but may last a little longer depending on the treatment(s) administered. For example, if therapeutic exercise is a part of your treatment plan, your appointment time will be extended appropriately.
